What this precious soul went through is horrific, unacceptable, and heartbreaking. Animals cannot speak up for themselves—and that is exactly why we do what we do.

We were also able to get 4 other mares out with Hadley at the same time. The other 4 girls are at a friends pasture down the road to recover and heal in a safe place.

Hadley has now had the time and space he so desperately needed to acclimate to his new surroundings, decompress, and been settling into a peaceful life.

Hadley is now enjoying his retirement, eating lots of good hay and food, and we are pretty sure he is absolutely loving his new fresh start!

But he has a long road of care ahead and we cannot do it without our incredible community.
